Our Parishes
We are one family in Christ, made up of four unique and historic parishes. When you register, you can choose your primary parish, but you are welcome to participate in any parish activities or Masses.
Immaculée Conception & Saint-Philippe – Pain Court
Founded in 1853 and deeply rooted in the French Catholic tradition, this parish has rebuilt and renewed itself through faith and fire. The current church, built in 1937, reflects the strength of a community proud of its language, heritage, and dedication to God.
St. Francis Xavier – Tilbury
Home to generations of families since 1855, St. Francis Xavier is known for its beautiful liturgies, active ministries, and welcoming spirit. Its historic building and artistic touches reflect a long-standing devotion to the Catholic faith and culture.
Visitation Parish – Comber
Visitation Parish is the newest church in our family, having been completed in 2006 following incredible efforts by parishioners. It’s a place of unity, renewal, and vibrant community life, a modern church with a strong heart.
St. Peter’s on the Thames—Jeannette’s Creek
Built in 1896, St. Peter’s is surrounded by peaceful countryside and adorned with sacred artwork by Georges Delfosse. It is a haven for prayer, reflection, and traditional Catholic worship, rich in French-Canadian heritage.
Ministries in Our Family of Parishes
Our Family of Parishes offers many ways to serve others through ministry. These roles are at the heart of parish life and outreach.
Parish Ministries
Each parish welcomes volunteers to serve in liturgical and support roles such as:
- Readers (Lectors)
- Greeters and Ushers
- Altar Servers
- Sacristans
- Catechists and Sacramental Preparation Volunteers
Outreach Ministries
We also support larger ministries and Catholic service groups, including
- Society of St. Vincent de Paul
- Catholic Women’s League
- Knights of Columbus
- Ladies of St. Anne
Some of these ministries are based in individual parishes, while others serve the entire Family of Parishes. They offer rich opportunities to build community, deepen faith, and make a real difference.
