Advent / Christmas 2020 Dear Parishioners,
Here we are at the beginning of the great season of Advent. These four weeks prepare us for the coming of the Lord both at the end of time and in time, with his birth in the flesh in the City of David – Bethlehem. It is an amazing spiritual reality that God shows his strength in weakness, his glory in poverty and his divinity in humility. The Incarnation and birth of Jesus set for us a pattern of belief – Our God is approachable, he became “touchable” – he lets nothing separate us from himself – it is our choice to accept this amazing love or not, by our words and actions.
May this Advent/Christmas season be enjoyable – may it not only be the “Festive Season” for you and yours – may it be truly a season of grace and renewal as we learn to live more and more (by God’s grace) to imitate the weakness, the poverty and humility of the Word made flesh – Jesus Christ our Saviour.
Merry and Blessed Christmas to all…
